Diddy is preparing for a significant music comeback, with Madison Square Garden set as his stage. The founder of Bad Boy Records, who was found guilty of two counts of prostitution but acquitted of charges related to s*x trafficking and racketeering in July, is focusing on his return to the rap scene, as per his lawyer via NY Post.
Marc Agnifilo, who has helmed the 55-year-old rapper’s legal team, told CBS Mornings that Combs is looking at organizing a comeback concert when he’s a free man.
“He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden — and I said I’ll be there,” Agnifilo told Jericka Duncan in a segment set to air Thursday.
The legal honcho also added that the “I’ll Be Missing You” musician is keen to “get back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him.”
“I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children,” Agnifilo added.
Asked if a musical comeback is on the horizon, Agnifilo admitted that while Combs hasn’t said anything about getting back into the recording studio, he did have another idea in mind.
“No — honestly, he has not. OK, one thing he said, he said he was going to be back in Madison Square Garden.”
Duncan then clarified what Combs would be doing at MSG, to which Agnifilo responded, “I guess being on stage, you know?”
“I think he’s someone who’s always going to strive to do something, you know, exceptional and probably demanding and challenging,” he added.
