Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly believes he won’t be at FCI Fort Dix for much longer, he’s been telling fellow inmates that he expects a presidential pardon from Donald Trump early next year.
According to sources inside the New Jersey federal prison, Diddy has been openly talking about Trump pardoning him in early 2026. Last month, reports suggested Trump was seriously considering the idea, though some members of his staff advised against it. One insider noted, however, that “Trump will do what he wants.”
Other inmates have shared that Diddy has been promising to look out for them once he’s released.
Diddy recently began serving a 50-month prison sentence for violating the Mann Act. He has already completed more than 13 months and could be eligible for release in about two years with credit, but a pardon or commutation from Trump would end his sentence much sooner.
Sources say Diddy’s legal team reached out to a senior White House official shortly after his sentencing in October to discuss a possible pardon. The request quickly reached Trump, who even spoke publicly about it.
Although Diddy and Trump fell out in 2020 after Diddy endorsed Joe Biden for president, Trump hasn’t ruled out granting him clemency. Diddy reportedly feels confident that Trump will come through and help him regain his freedom.
