David James, who used to work as Sean “Diddy” Combs’ personal assistant, shared a scary story during Diddy’s trial in New York. He talked about something that happened in 2008 in Los Angeles with another famous music figure, Suge Knight.
David said he was driving a car to get cheeseburgers from a place called Mel’s Diner with a man named D-Roc. When they got there, D-Roc saw Suge Knight. D-Roc went up to him and said, “I’m Biggie’s boy,” meaning he was connected to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.
Then, David noticed four big black SUVs parked around them. He saw someone give Suge Knight a gun. Feeling scared, D-Roc told them to leave quickly, and they drove back to Diddy’s house.
At Diddy’s house, David saw Cassie, who was Diddy’s girlfriend, crying. Later, Diddy got into a different car with David. David said Diddy had three guns on his lap during the drive back to the diner, but when they arrived, Suge Knight was gone. Diddy told David to drive around the block, which made things even more tense.
David said this whole experience scared him a lot. Because of that, he decided to leave working for Diddy. He even turned down other jobs with Diddy’s company because he felt his life was in danger.
