Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz didn’t go to David Beckham’s 50th birthday party but not because they didn’t want to. They actually flew to London just to celebrate with him. However, there’s tension in the family that caused problems.
Sources told TMZ that Brooklyn and Nicola asked to meet with the family in private before the big party. They wanted a quiet moment with everyone. But the rest of the family said no. They told them to either come to the main party or they wouldn’t get to see anyone.
This made Brooklyn and Nicola upset, especially because they wouldn’t get to see Brooklyn’s brother Romeo or his girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn and Romeo aren’t speaking right now, and part of that is because Brooklyn used to date Kim.
Even though they didn’t go to the party, Brooklyn and Nicola still reached out to David and wished him a happy birthday in private. They don’t like to make a big show of family issues and prefer to keep things private.
Meanwhile, David and Victoria Beckham’s party had lots of celebrities. Victoria posted pictures from the event and wrote they were “creating special memories with family and friends,” which some people saw as a dig at Brooklyn for not being there.
Part of the reason Brooklyn and Nicola are avoiding family events is that they don’t trust Kim. But David and Victoria like her and are happy to have her around.
