David Beckham Flies to Paris for Cruz Gig
Mr David Beckham travelled to Paris this week to watch his youngest son, Mr Cruz Beckham, perform live on stage, with the former footballer pictured leaving the venue after the show. The appearance comes amid ongoing reports of tension within the Beckham family and renewed attention on whether David will reunite with his eldest son, Mr Brooklyn Beckham.
Daily Mail reported that Beckham, 50, jetted to the French capital to see 21-year-old Cruz and his band The Breakers on the latest leg of their UK and European tour, after previously watching his son perform in Manchester. The outlet said Cruz’s girlfriend, Ms Jackie Apostel, and cousin Ms Libby Adams also attended the Paris gig.
The report said the trip followed a near-miss earlier in the week when David and Brooklyn were both said to have visited the same hotel on Monday without meeting. It also noted that Cruz has announced a debut headline show with The Breakers at The Courtyard Theatre in London on March 27, and is continuing tour dates including planned shows in Amsterdam and Berlin before returning to London.
Family speculation has persisted after Cruz’s new single “Loneliest Boy” prompted fan discussion about lyrics referring to “breaking mama’s heart”, following reports that Brooklyn has been upset by his parents’ birthday tributes during the wider dispute.
Neither David nor Brooklyn has publicly addressed the latest near-miss in person, while Cruz continues to build momentum as a live performer with further dates scheduled in the coming weeks.
