Nikki Glaser has been open about her admiration for Taylor Swift. However, she avoids interacting with the singer at events. They both attend high-profile gatherings but the comedian has admitted that she doesn’t even look in Swift’s direction. This was also the case at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Recently, Glaser noted why she chose to keep her distance.
Nikki Glaser recently shared via Yahoo why she avoids approaching Taylor Swift, even when they are in the same room.
Speaking on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the comedian said that despite being a devoted Swift fan, she refrains from contacting the singer at events. Glaser explained that she chose not to interact with the singer at the ceremony, believing Swift already deals with enough people seeking her attention. She described her approach as “almost rude,” as she deliberately avoids making eye contact when they are in the same room.
The comedian further said, “Of course she would be so nice. I know exactly how it would go down.”
She jokingly added that she would rather let Swift focus on making great music than take up her time with a brief, polite conversation. Glaser said, “That’s what I don’t want, her to make a less great song ‘cause she had to be like, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and hold me as I’m crying. No, we don’t need that. I can’t bother her.”
The FBoy Island host recently also hosted the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. She admitted that being around celebrities at major events often leaves her feeling disheartened. She was also nominated for Best Comedy Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
