Britney Spears lashed out at her exes in a fiery Instagram post after her third ex-husband, Sam Asghari, said their marriage negatively affected his career.
Spears, 43, posted a long and emotional caption where she said she had a tough week and felt unsupported. She expressed her anger, calling it a “shady week” and saying if anyone had shown her love, she would’ve returned it “right back to your ass.” She also used strong language, calling some people “f–king birds.”
She mentioned feeling disconnected from people since the start of the year, saying she’s been let down by humanity. Then she talked about how close she feels to God and animals, and took a jab at two unnamed ex-boyfriends, saying she liked their dogs more than them. According to her, the dogs showed her more respect than the men did.
She continued, saying those men were “cruel,” never acknowledged her, and never even held her hand during their time together. She said she prefers animals over people.
The post came right after Sam Asghari, 31, appeared on a radio show and spoke about their marriage. He admitted that being in a relationship with such a famous person helped him become more well-known, but it also made his acting career harder. He said some casting directors didn’t take him seriously because they saw him as just a “cheesy trainer” connected to a pop star.
Asghari and Spears met in 2016 while filming her “Slumber Party” music video. They got married in June 2022 in a glamorous wedding. However, in August 2023, Asghari filed for divorce, saying they had “irreconcilable differences.” Their divorce was finalized in May 2024.
