Cade Hudson Speaks After Britney DUI Arrest
Britney Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson, has issued a public statement after the singer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Ventura County, California, on Wednesday night.
In comments attributed to Hudson, Page Six reported that he described the incident as “completely inexcusable” and said Spears would “comply with the law,” adding: “Hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.”
Hudson also said Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, “are going to be spending time with her,” and that her loved ones were “going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being,” according to the report. The outlet said Spears was detained by the California Highway Patrol at around 9.28pm local time, booked at 3.02am and released about three hours later.
The arrest follows a string of recent headlines about the pop star, including a moment when Paris Hilton addressed concerns about Spears’ behaviour after videos circulated online.
Page Six also cited a 911 dispatch call in which an officer described a “black BMW sedan” as being “in and out of lanes” and “speeding” before the stop. The report said TMZ later claimed Spears was taken to hospital so blood could be drawn to determine her blood alcohol content, and that she allegedly told people her result was 0.06 per cent, though police have not released testing results.
