Kevin Federline is once again speaking out about his past with Britney Spears. In his new memoir You Thought You Knew, the 47-year-old former dancer makes several serious claims about the pop star, now 43.
Federline accuses Spears of verbally mistreating their sons, Sean Preston (20) and Jayden James (19), and even alleges that she once punched Preston. He also claims that when Preston was around 10 or 11 years old, he asked why his mother made him bathe with her, something Federline says made his son very uncomfortable and forced him to step in.
The book also includes more concerning stories, such as Spears allegedly giving her sons shellfish despite their allergies. Federline recalls a time Jayden was hospitalized while staying with Spears in Louisiana, saying he was told it was due to allergies but later found out Jayden had accidentally taken pills. He says he never learned whether those pills belonged to Spears or someone else.
“It was clear he was uncomfortable, to put it mildly, and I had to step in and make it stop,” Federline penned. Whether they were Britney’s or someone else’s, I’ll never know,” Federline shared
Federline claims that Spears kept Jayden in diapers even after he was potty-trained and would wake him up in the middle of the night to keep her company, often leaving Preston alone. He describes this as a long-term pattern that he had to stop, saying her behavior showed a harmful imbalance in how she treated the boys.
He also says he was often worried about their visits with Spears, mentioning her alleged erratic behavior, tension with her father, and questionable decisions including one time when the boys came home with their hair bleached so severely that it burned their scalps. Federline says he had to shave their heads because of the damage.
Spears’ representatives responded to the claims, saying that Federline and others are trying to profit from her again, especially now that his child support payments have ended. Spears herself also reacted on social media, accusing Federline of using her pain for attention and claiming his anger toward her runs much deeper than people realize.
