Blake Lively is making new friends and some people think she’s doing it to get back at those who left her.
The 36-year-old actress is dealing with a lot right now. She’s in a big court case against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, and she’s no longer close with her old friend Taylor Swift.
Blake used to spend a lot of time with Taylor and other famous friends like Gigi Hadid, Salma Hayek, and Emily Blunt. But things changed after Blake filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December. She said he sexually harassed her and spread lies about her during their movie’s press tour. Baldoni said she was lying and sued her back for $400 million.
Baldoni’s legal team even tried to bring Taylor into the case by sending her a subpoena. In the case, messages showed Blake calling her powerful friends “dragons” and saying they could help her. Taylor’s team said it was just for attention, but people say the friendship between Blake and Taylor has gotten worse.
A source said, “Taylor doesn’t want to be part of the drama and has taken a step back.”
People noticed Blake wasn’t in Taylor’s Super Bowl suite this year. Last year, Blake was sitting next to Taylor, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman. This time, Taylor was with Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, and the Haim sisters.
Blake and Gigi Hadid also haven’t been seen together in public for almost a year. One source said Gigi is still close with Taylor and doesn’t want to be involved in Blake’s problems.
Blake isn’t alone, though. Her sisters, Robyn and Lori Lively, have been supporting her at events. Salma Hayek, who worked with Blake in a movie, is still close with her too.
Blake has also been hanging out with old friends from the photography world, like Anna Palma and Guy Aroch. She said online that she’s known them for most of her life.
A friend said, “Blake isn’t sad about losing her old friends. Her new group may not be super famous, but they’re real friends and that’s what she needs now.”
