Blake Lively is now more involved in her legal fight with Justin Baldoni, and Taylor Swift has been pulled into it too. According to court papers seen by Page Six, Baldoni’s lawyers say that Lively once told Swift to delete their text messages. They say this information came from a source who likely knows what they’re talking about.
The papers also claim that Lively’s lawyer asked Swift’s legal team to put out a public statement supporting Lively. It’s suggested that if Swift didn’t do this, private texts between her and Lively might be shared publicly.
Baldoni’s team says Swift’s lawyer responded to these “threats” in writing, and now they want those messages used as evidence in court to show that someone tried to pressure Swift, who could be a witness. Lively’s lawyer says all of this is completely false and not based in truth.
Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have been friends since 2015. But things got messy after Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 for things like sexual harassment and emotional distress. Baldoni then sued her back for defamation and extortion.
In that lawsuit, Baldoni claimed Lively called Swift and Ryan Reynolds her “dragons” — meaning they protect her in fights about her work. His lawyers said this made it feel like Baldoni wasn’t just dealing with Lively, but also two huge stars who could make things hard for him.
