Alix Earle breaks down after fan links her breakup to Taylor Swift lyrics
Ms Alix Earle has shared a tearful TikTok reaction after a fan compared her recent comments about seeing her ex-boyfriend Mr Braxton Berrios for the first time since their breakup to a Taylor Swift song.
In her earlier video, posted on February 25, Earle said it was “really hard” and “really weird” to run into Berrios at an event, explaining that on the first night they were in the same place but did not speak, and that it felt difficult watching someone who had been her “best friend” become “a stranger in the corner of the room”, Page Six reported.
After a follower commented that Earle had “just described the lyrics of New Year’s Day”, Swift’s 2017 track from the album Reputation, the influencer posted a follow-up clip showing her sobbing as she discussed looking up the song and its lines about not becoming strangers.
Earle said she and Berrios briefly greeted one another on the second night, but described the situation as “tough — and by tough I mean, terrible”, while text over her TikTok suggested she had been “spiraling every night” and posting less frequently.
The pair split in December 2025 after two years together, and the report noted both attended last month’s Palm Tree Music Festival in Aspen, where they are connected through investments in a beverage brand.
