A$AP Rocky says he and Drake are no longer friends as he addresses feud rumours
Rapper A$AP Rocky has spoken directly about his relationship with Drake, saying the pair are no longer friends amid renewed speculation sparked by lyrics on his new album. The comments came during a radio interview on Wednesday, as the US star was asked whether there was any genuine tension between him and the Canadian rapper.
A$AP Rocky said the situation was “not real smoke” but added that he “just don’t f–k with him” when asked about Drake during an appearance on Page Six.
The discussion followed fan chatter around a line on Rocky’s track “Stole Ya Flow”, in which he raps: “First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ bitch… My baby mama Rihanna, so we unbothered.” Rocky also confirmed that he and Drake were once friends and said their relationship deteriorated “over females”, referencing how he felt it was time to “be moving on” as people get older.
Rocky’s latest remarks arrive as he continues promoting “Don’t Be Dumb”, with recent album headlines also including Morrissey being dropped from another rapper’s new release after a feature was pulled.
Drake’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to the report, while Rocky’s interview suggests he is keen to downplay the idea of an escalating public feud.
