One of the fans recently took to Twitter and asked Weezer and Rivers Cuomo about doing a cover of Arctic Monkeys. Luckily, River Cuomo replied to the fan.
Rivers Cuomo is planning to do a cover of Arctic Monkeys song
Cuomo took note of the Tweet and replied saying that he is planning to do a cover version of an Arctic Monkey song and he might also put his own Weezer element in the song.
He wrote:
“Hey, better late than never. Just give me a few days to work it up and I’ll be sure to do a cover of your favorite Arctic Monkeys song. Or maybe I’ll put my own Weezer spin on it. #WeezerMonkeysCover“
Another fan noted:
“If you’re going to work on tunes rivers could you create one with @OneRepublic
& @RyanTedder? Now that would be epic if you could create a tune with Ryan & OneRepublic &
@Weezer”
Cuomo replied:
“I think that’s a great idea. Maybe @OneRepublic can join us in the studio so we can rock it out together.”
Another fan said:

Cuomo noted:
“Yo yo, I’m a-listenin’. Might just take a crack at that Strokes classic. Hard to explain, nothin’ to it. But puttin’ Weezer spin on it, gonna be off da hook—or should I say, BOUNCE. #BLAM 🤘’
