Murmurs we had been hearing for the past several months that the Stone Roses would be releasing new music, the first since 1995, got much louder this morning as fans woke up to the news on the band’s Twitter that we would be treated to a new track later today. As promised, the Manchester band has officially dropped their first new song in 22 years, ‘All For One.’

The resulting work, which you can listen to below, is classic Stone Roses. Their signature jangly guitars and echoing vocals are slightly more polished than in earlier recordings, probably due to their recording with producer Paul Epworth at Church Studios in London.

The track can be streamed through Spotify and iTunes. There’s still no word on whether a new album will follow.

Previously, both frontman Ian Brown and bassist Mani had insisted that the 2011 Stone Roses reunion would result in new music, with Mani even hinting that a new album would be released as early as 2015. While that album never materialized, fans are waiting to see what follows this new track.

Can’t get enough Stone Roses? Don’t forget they’re doing a handful of live dates this summer (including one stateside):

06-15 Manchester, England – Eithad Stadium
06-17-19 Manchester, England – Eithad Stadium
06-30 New York, NY – Madison Square Garden

07-08 Perthshire, Scotland – T in the Park
07-09 Dublin, Ireland – Marlay Parkrthshire, Scotland – T in the Park
07-09 Dublin, Ireland – Marlay Park.
