Taylor Swift Sends Signed Guitar To Ohio Girl
Ms Taylor Swift has surprised an eight-year-old fan in Ohio with a signed guitar and handwritten note after a TikTok video of the child’s request for “Love Story” went viral and reached the singer. The moment, which began with a paper airplane message to a neighbour, has drawn fresh attention to Swift’s long-running habit of responding directly to fans.
Page Six reported that Cleveland child Madeline Hulec tossed a paper airplane over her fence to neighbour Mr Ethan Hayes, 26, after hearing him play guitar outside, asking if he could perform a Taylor Swift song.
Mr Hayes played Swift’s 2008 hit “Love Story” from his porch while Madeline sang along from inside her home, with her mother Ms Natalie Hulec filming the exchange. The clip was later posted to TikTok, where it attracted close to four million views.
After the video circulated, Swift’s team contacted Mr Hayes and asked him not to share details until a package arrived, and the singer later sent signed guitars to both the child and the musician, alongside a personal note addressed to Madeline. The story arrives as the pop star continues to make headlines, including when Lizzo denied ‘talking s—t’ about Taylor Swift amid online chatter.
Madeline’s mother said her daughter came up with the paper-airplane idea because she felt too shy to approach the neighbour directly, while Mr Hayes said he was initially nervous because he is not a “die-hard Swiftie” but knew the song well enough to play it. The gesture is the latest in a series of fan-focused moments that have helped fuel Swift’s reputation for personal outreach alongside her global touring and public appearances.
