Prince William’s ‘Emotional’ Week After Candid Remarks
Prince William has been described as having an “emotional” week after speaking more openly than usual about family life and what matters most to him and Catherine, Princess of Wales, during a recent visit to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
In an account of the Prince of Wales’s trip, Hello Magazine reported that the past few years have changed the Wales family’s world and that the couple, while protective of their children’s privacy, have begun to open up more about their home life and priorities.
The piece said the Prince was at his most candid during the visit, framing the week as part of a more personal approach in his public role at a time when the family has faced significant change. It added that the Waleses have traditionally guarded their private life closely, but are increasingly discussing the realities behind the scenes.
The shift echoes comments Prince William has made elsewhere, including when he said the family “couldn’t cope without” Princess Kate during her cancer treatment.
The more candid tone is being seen as part of how the Prince of Wales is balancing public duty with a desire to make the monarchy feel more relatable, while still keeping the couple’s children out of the spotlight.
