Meghan Spokesperson Denies As Ever Clothing Plans
Meghan Markle’s spokesperson has denied reports that the Duchess of Sussex is preparing to launch a clothing line through her lifestyle brand, As Ever, after online speculation was fuelled by new sizing details appearing on the website.
Express reported that measurement guides for shirts were spotted on As Ever, prompting rumours the business—known for items including preserves, candles, chocolate, wine and flower sprinkles—was set to expand into fashion, but a spokesperson told GB News: “There are no plans to start selling clothes.”
The report noted that the denial sits alongside the Duchess’s previous public comments about an interest in fashion. It cited an interview with Fast Company in 2025 in which Meghan said: “Fashion is a category I plan to explore down the line because I find it to be an intriguing space for me.”
More recently, Meghan also spoke about the influence of fashion and designer attribution, according to the report, saying she had been concerned in the past when the “incorrect designer” was credited for outfits she wore, and adding that “credit where credit is due” matters to her because designers and brands “work so hard and take great pride in their work.”
Express added that while As Ever is not planning to sell clothing, Meghan has entered the fashion space via resale, launching a personal page on OneOff on 14 April, described as a platform that uses AI to match buyers with sellers, where she has a stake and active role and can earn a cut from sales of curated items.
