Britney Spears Says DUI Case Sparked Spiritual Journey
Ms. Britney Spears has told fans she is on a “spiritual journey” after entering a plea deal in her recent drink-driving case, sharing a reflective message on Instagram and describing the moment as a “blessing in disguise”.
In a post uploaded on Saturday, Spears shared a photograph of a yellow-and-white snake she said she saw in a pet store while spending time with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with Page Six reporting that she wrote: “Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck.”
In the same message, Spears added that she was “so damn thankful” for friends and “new beautiful people” she has met, saying she is still learning “how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself”. She also wrote that it was “a never ending journey” and that she sometimes pauses and thinks: “wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”
The update follows Spears’ guilty plea in relation to her March 4 arrest, after her lawyer accepted an offer for the charge to be reduced to “wet reckless”, a lesser offence commonly used in first-time cases, and she was ordered to serve a year of informal probation and complete a three-month alcohol school. Britpop News has previously reported on the case after she faced court following the DUI arrest earlier this year.
Spears’ attorney, Mr. Michael Goldstein, told the outlet that she had “accepted responsibility for her conduct” and said the reduced charge reflected “significant steps to implement positive change”. The singer has also spoken publicly about prioritising her mental health in recent weeks, and her latest post suggests she is focusing on recovery and family life.
