Ms Britney Spears did not attend her niece’s high school graduation, as several members of the Spears family gathered for a rare reunion at the ceremony, according to a new report. The event celebrated 17-year-old Maddie Aldridge, the daughter of Ms Jamie Lynn Spears, with photos showing relatives attending while the pop star was absent.
In its report on Saturday, Page Six said pictures obtained by the Daily Mail showed Ms Lynne Spears, Mr Jamie Spears and Ms Jamie Lynn Spears at the graduation, along with Ms Spears’ eldest son Sean Preston, who was seen holding up a photo of his cousin during the commencement exercises.
The outlet also reported that Mr Jamie Spears, who had his right leg amputated in 2023 following an infection, attended the ceremony in a grey suit, while Ms Lynne Spears was photographed in a cream dress and matching blazer. Page Six added that a representative for Ms Spears did not immediately respond to a request for comment about her absence.
The family gathering comes in the wake of Ms Spears’ recent legal developments, following Britpop News reporting that she avoided a DUI conviction after a plea deal, with her attorney saying she had accepted responsibility for her conduct.
Ms Spears’ absence is likely to draw renewed attention to her complicated relationships with family members in the years since her conservatorship ended, particularly as public moments involving the Spears family continue to prompt questions about where ties stand privately.
