Oasis confirm joint interview for Disney film
Oasis will appear together in a new feature-length concert documentary tied to the band’s 2025 global reunion tour, with Noel and Liam Gallagher taking part in their first joint interview in 25 years. The film is set for a cinema release on 11 September and is being made by Steven Knight.
BBC News reported that Disney confirmed Mr Steven Knight as creator of the film, which will include rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage from the 2025 tour and feature the first sit-down interviews with the brothers in more than two decades.
The BBC said the documentary is a collaboration between Disney, Sony Music Vision and Magna studios, and will focus on the reunion tour that saw the band return to the stage after a 16-year break, with sold-out dates including Wembley Stadium. Mr Knight said he wanted to tell the story of the band and the fans “whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever”.
Interest in Oasis’ return has remained high beyond the concerts themselves, with Britpop News previously reporting that Noel Gallagher broke his silence on Oasis’ future as speculation continued around the group’s next steps.
The Oasis film joins a growing wave of big-screen concert releases, as music acts and studios seek to bring major tours to cinema audiences, with the Gallagher brothers’ rare joint interview expected to be a key draw for fans.
