King Charles to Visit Bermuda After Palace Update
King Charles is set to carry out a one-day programme of engagements in Bermuda, after Buckingham Palace issued an update outlining the monarch’s next public move on Thursday. The visit marks His Majesty’s first royal trip as Sovereign to a British Overseas Territory, and comes as renewed attention focuses on controversy linked to Prince Andrew.
The Palace said the King would “undertake a day of engagements in Bermuda” during the visit, Geo News reported, in a message shared via the Royal Family’s official Instagram account.
The update was issued as a new documentary was announced, described as examining “dark secrets” connected to the Epstein files, with reporting noting it promises “unprecedented access, explosive testimony and forensic analysis” of documents, networks and individuals linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal operation. While the Palace statement focused on the Bermuda schedule, the report noted it remains unclear whether Prince Andrew’s past links with Epstein will be addressed in the project.
The Bermuda engagements follow a run of high-profile royal appearances in the United States, including a tense moment when Queen Camilla was seen swatting a bee during an Arlington tribute alongside the King, highlighting the packed pace of the couple’s public programme.
Further details of the King’s itinerary in Bermuda are expected to be confirmed as the engagements take place, with the Palace’s message framing the trip as a milestone early in the reign and a signal of ongoing focus on overseas territories.
