Prince Andrew’s Sandringham move draws fresh attention
Prince Andrew has drawn renewed attention after a report focusing on a detail of his new accommodation at the Sandringham Estate, following his departure from Royal Lodge. The Duke of York has reportedly relocated to Marash Farm, a five-bedroom property in Norfolk, after temporary time at Wood Farm while the home was prepared.
Yahoo Entertainment reported that Marash Farm features a uniform light blue front door, the same colour used across homes on King Charles’s estate, and that locals view the detail as symbolic of Prince Andrew’s reduced status.
The report, which cited comments attributed to a local source speaking to the Mirror, said the door colour indicates the property is owned by the King and that tenants are not permitted to change it. The same source was quoted as saying the matching door shows “how far he has fallen from grace” and that he is “now just like every other tenant” on the estate.
Prince Andrew’s move has been closely followed since he was reported to have left Royal Lodge, and it echoes earlier coverage in which he was said to be relocating to a smaller Sandringham home as part of the change in his living arrangements.
The report adds to wider scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s position within the Royal Family, with the Sandringham property detail being presented as a visible reminder of how his circumstances have shifted in recent years.
