Taylor Swift ‘wedding dress’ reportedly inspired by Elizabeth Taylor
Taylor Swift’s reported wedding plans have sparked fresh attention after a new claim suggested the singer’s dress for her upcoming marriage to NFL star Mr Travis Kelce will draw inspiration from a classic Hollywood icon.
According to Page Six, the gown is said to be inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s first wedding dress, worn when she married Conrad Hilton Jr in 1950, with the report noting Swift is drawn to its old-fashioned silhouette and lace detailing.
The outlet said the idea was linked to Swift’s recent work on a song titled “Elizabeth Taylor” from her latest album “The Life of a Showgirl”, with a source quoted as saying the singer spent time looking at archival images of the actress while making the music video.
The dress talk comes amid ongoing reports about the couple’s ceremony timeline, with Britpop News previously reporting that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have a July 3 wedding date pencilled in for New York.
Elizabeth Taylor, who died in 2011 aged 79, was famously married seven times. The 1950 marriage to Hilton, her first husband, lasted eight months before the pair divorced, but her bridal look became one of her best-known early style moments.
Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the details of wedding preparations, but the report underlines the level of interest surrounding the couple’s next steps as their relationship continues to dominate entertainment and sports headlines.
