King Charles heckled in Cornwall over Andrew

King Charles faced heckling during a visit to Cornwall with Queen Camilla, after a man in the crowd challenged him about Prince Andrew as the monarch greeted members of the public at St Austell’s Market Hall. The moment briefly disrupted an otherwise warm reception, with the King continuing his walkabout as onlookers intervened.

During the engagement, The Royal Observer reported that a man shouted “Are you covering for Prince Andrew?” as the King arrived to meet the gathered crowd, before another person told the heckler to be quiet while Charles remained composed and carried on speaking to people nearby.

The report also referenced recent protests at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, where posters were displayed with messages including “What did you know?” in apparent reference to Andrew’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein. It further quoted royal author Robert Jobson warning that if it emerged people “knew stuff” about any wrongdoing, “then heads must roll,” describing potential criminal proceedings involving a royal as more serious than other crises faced by the monarchy.

The Cornwall incident comes amid continued scrutiny of the Duke of York’s position, following earlier BritpopNews coverage examining Prince William’s reported stance on Andrew’s future role in royal events as the family navigates the ongoing reputational fallout.

Buckingham Palace has not publicly commented on the exchange during the walkabout, and the King’s schedule in Cornwall continued as planned, with attention likely to remain on how senior royals handle public reaction when Prince Andrew’s controversies are raised in crowds.
