Report says Prince Andrew could leave Wood Farm

Prince Andrew could be required to move out of his temporary Sandringham accommodation before Easter, according to a report suggesting the royal family want to use the property over the holiday period. The claim comes amid continued scrutiny of the Duke of York’s living arrangements following his departure from Royal Lodge.

AOL reported that Andrew is currently staying at Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate while renovations are completed at nearby Marsh Farm, which is described as his intended permanent home on the Norfolk property.

Royal editor Mr Matt Wilkinson, speaking on Hello!’s A Right Royal Podcast, was quoted as saying Wood Farm is used by the wider royal family and may be needed for the Easter holidays, adding that work has been taking place “around the clock” and that security gates have been installed as preparations continue for Andrew’s move.

The AOL report also states that Andrew was arrested by British police on 19 February at his Norfolk address on suspicion of misconduct in public office, and released after 11 hours without being charged. In related coverage, Britpop News has previously reported that Prince Andrew may leave Wood Farm by Easter as speculation grows over when the move to Marsh Farm will be finalised.

No official date for any change of residence has been confirmed, but the report indicates the timing could be driven by both the renovation schedule and the estate’s use by other members of the royal family over the spring break.
