Prince Andrew may leave Wood Farm by Easter
Royal commentators have suggested Prince Andrew could face a new deadline to vacate Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, where he is said to be staying temporarily. The discussion centres on the approach of Easter and the likelihood that the wider Royal Family will want to use the property during the holiday period.
Royal editor Mr Matt Wilkinson said on a podcast that the family “use Wood Farm a lot” and may want it available for Easter visits, with Marie Claire reporting he added that Andrew needed to move into nearby Marsh Farm “pretty sharpish” while work on that property is completed.
In the same remarks, Mr Wilkinson claimed gates had been installed and work had been taking place “around the clock” at Marsh Farm in recent weeks. He also said deliveries of furniture, kitchen appliances and carpets had been seen, and that removal vans carrying stored artwork had arrived as preparations continued.
The report said Mr Wilkinson believed Andrew was expected to be in his “final exile” by Easter weekend in early April, but suggested the move could happen sooner because the family “want Wood Farm back”. The speculation follows separate BritpopNews reporting that Prince Andrew was seen moving into a Sandringham home as attention remained on his living arrangements.
No official statement was cited in the report about any confirmed move date. Any change is expected to depend on the completion of the Marsh Farm renovations and decisions taken by the Royal Household about the use of Sandringham properties over the Easter period.
