Brooklyn Beckham Praises Claudia Peltz on UK Mother’s Day
Brooklyn Beckham has drawn attention online after marking UK Mother’s Day without a public tribute to his mother, Victoria Beckham, instead posting a message celebrating his mother-in-law, Ms Claudia Peltz. The social media post has reignited discussion around reported tensions between Brooklyn and the Beckham family and comes as Mother’s Day messages were shared widely across celebrity accounts.
In the post, Brooklyn wrote “Happy birthday to the best mother in law,” alongside a photo of his wife, Ms Nicola Peltz Beckham, and her mother, adding that he hoped she “had the most amazing day”, Page Six reported.
Victoria Beckham, a former Spice Girls member and fashion designer, was publicly celebrated on the same day by her husband, David Beckham, as well as the couple’s other children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, according to the report. Representatives for Brooklyn and Victoria were not immediately available to comment.
The latest moment follows months of scrutiny over the family dynamic, including Brooklyn’s earlier social media statement in which he said he did not want reconciliation and accused his parents of controlling narratives about the family in the press, a dispute previously outlined when David Beckham unites family after allegations by son was reported.
While Ms Nicola Peltz Beckham has largely avoided addressing the situation publicly, Brooklyn’s decision to spotlight his mother-in-law during a weekend traditionally focused on mothers has added to speculation about where relations stand, particularly after he also did not publicly acknowledge birthday messages from his parents earlier this month.
