Kevin Federline Questions Britney Spears DUI Incident
Mr. Kevin Federline has spoken publicly about Britney Spears’ recent DUI arrest, with his lawyer issuing a statement expressing concern about whether the incident is an isolated event. The comments were published on March 6 as the singer, 44, faces a court date after being arrested earlier in the week.
In a statement issued via his attorney, Page Six reported that Federline said he hopes Spears will accept help if she needs it, while questioning whether the DUI is “just a one off or a one more.” The report said the statement was obtained by TMZ and attributed to Federline’s lawyer, Mr. Mark Vincent Kaplan.
Kaplan also said he had been in contact with Spears’ lawyer following the arrest but claimed he and Federline had no more information than what has been reported. Page Six also cited a source close to Spears who alleged the release of Federline’s memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” in October 2025 contributed to emotional distress and increasingly erratic behaviour in the months that followed.
According to the report, Spears was arrested on Wednesday evening after being spotted swerving her BMW in and out of traffic and later underwent field sobriety tests before being taken for further testing. The outlet reported she was booked early the next morning and released a few hours later, with an appearance in court set for May 4.
The case adds to ongoing public focus on Spears’ wellbeing and legal situation, and further updates are expected as test results are processed and the matter proceeds through the courts.
