Meghan Markle, Netflix End As Ever Partnership
Meghan Markle and Netflix have ended their partnership connected to the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, with the company saying the business will now move forward under her independent control. The decision was announced on Friday, March 6, and comes after the brand’s first year in the market following its 2025 launch.
In a statement, Fox News reported that a Netflix spokesperson said the streaming company was “glad to have played a role” in bringing Meghan’s vision to life and that she would “continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently.”
The report said As Ever also issued its own message, describing the business as “grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year,” adding that the company had seen “meaningful and rapid growth” and was now “ready to stand on its own.” The split prompted mixed reactions on social media, with critics and supporters debating whether the move reflected a strategic next step or a setback for the venture.
As Ever launched in 2025 as a home goods and lifestyle line and has sold products including jams, honey, tea, wine, candles and chocolates. The brand’s expansion plans have drawn attention previously, including discussion of backlash over US-only shipping as customers called for wider international availability.
Meghan and Prince Harry first signed with Netflix in 2020 and worked on multiple projects for the platform before announcing in 2025 that they would not renew their broader deal. Netflix has not announced any new developments regarding a potential third season of Meghan’s series “With Love, Meghan,” following two seasons and a holiday special.
