Kate Reportedly Keeps Distance From York Sisters
Kate Middleton has reportedly remained distant from Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, with a new report claiming the Princess of Wales has never been close to the York sisters and that tensions linger within the extended Royal Family.
Cosmopolitan reported that a source described Kate’s early years around the family as “very uncomfortable”, alleging Beatrice and Eugenie were “convinced by their father that William was marrying below his status” and that the relationship would not last.
The report also claims Kate has kept her distance from the York family following renewed scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein, and that Prince William has concerns about his cousins’ “lack of discretion” and the risk of past stories resurfacing.
It adds that at the group Christmas gathering at Sandringham there were reportedly no presents under the tree for Beatrice and Eugenie from William and Kate, a detail attributed to an unnamed insider. The claims come as the Princess of Wales has continued public duties, including when she returned to the BAFTAs with Prince William during a period of renewed attention on the Duke of York.
Buckingham Palace has not commented on the reported family dynamics, and there has been no public response from representatives for the Princess of Wales or the York sisters.
