Paris Hilton praises Meghan Markle as ‘smart’ and ‘lovely’ after appearing on Archetypes podcast
Paris Hilton has spoken publicly about her experience working with Meghan Markle, describing the Duchess of Sussex as “very smart” and “lovely” following her appearance on the Spotify series Archetypes. The US celebrity made the comments in a recent interview as discussion continues around Markle’s two podcast ventures and their future.
In remarks highlighted by Express, Ms Hilton said she “loved doing that podcast” with Meghan and “really enjoyed it”, adding that she could relate to women whose public image is shaped by media narratives.
Archetypes launched in 2022 and ran for 12 episodes, featuring guests including Ms Hilton, Ms Serena Williams, Ms Mariah Carey, Ms Mindy Kaling and Ms Victoria Jackson. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s deal with Spotify ended in June 2023, with both sides previously saying they had “mutually agreed” to part ways.
The episode featuring Ms Hilton, titled Breaking Down the Bimbo, focused on how labels such as “bimbo” and “dumb blonde” have been used to diminish women. During the conversation, Ms Hilton spoke about feeling her public persona became so entrenched that “lines got blurred” and she “forgot who I was”, while Meghan responded that it was “so sad” people can be “cast” into an image that makes them feel trapped. Related coverage of Ms Hilton’s celebrity circle includes Britpop News reporting that Britney Spears reunited with Paris Hilton amid renewed attention on their friendship.
Markle has since launched a second series, Confessions of a Female Founder, with Lemonada Media in 2025, though a new season has not been announced. Ms Hilton’s comments add to the wider conversation about how celebrity women navigate scrutiny and the expectations that follow high-profile media projects.
