King Charles III may be quietly taking a small step toward repairing his relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A new report suggests the King could allow the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay at one of his properties during their upcoming visit to the United Kingdom.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to travel to Birmingham in July for a pre-event connected to the Invictus Games. This would be their first joint appearance in the UK in almost four years. Reports suggest they may stay at Highgrove House, a private royal residence that would allow them to avoid public attention.
King Charles III is not expected to meet with the couple during the visit, as he is scheduled to be in Scotland at the time. While the possible offer is seen as a positive sign, communication between Harry and the rest of the royal family is still limited. Some royal watchers say there is ongoing concern about private conversations becoming public.
Another royal expert believes Meghan will travel with Harry and that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, could also come along privately. Harry has visited the UK alone several times since moving to California, while Meghan has not returned since 2022.
