Pop Britney Spears recently addressed the buzz around her current dancing style via PEOPLE.
On Thursday, January 8th, the pop star, dropped a throwback photo on Instagram from her performance of “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” at the 29th Annual American Music Awards on January 9th, 2002, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. She revealed her mindset towards returning to the stage in the caption of the post.
“Interestingly enough, I dance on IG to heal things in my body that people have no idea about,” Spears wrote.
“Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life.”
The singer then added that she has no plans to return to the stage unless she’s out of the country.
“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons, but I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon,” she wrote. “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!”
It’s unclear which of her sons — Sean Preston, 20, or Jayden, 19 — she was referring to, but in the same post, she said she plans to send him a white piano she used during a performance at the 2002 American Music Awards.
The singer has previously raved about Jayden’s musical ability, saying, “He’s a genius and I’m in awe of him !!! I can’t believe he’s mine !!! I was honestly scared that’s not normal !!!”
