Pop star Taylor Swift has donated $1 million to Feeding America just days before Christmas. The nonprofit confirmed the donation and said it will help families struggling with hunger during the holiday season.
Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot thanked Swift publicly and said the donation shows what is possible when people come together to fight hunger. She explained that the money will help food banks, pantries, and meal programs support families not just during the holidays, but beyond.
Swift has not commented publicly on the donation, and her team did not immediately respond to media requests. The donation comes at a time when hunger is a growing problem in the United States. Recent research shows that about 14% of U.S. households faced food insecurity in 2025. Babineaux-Fontenot has also said demand for food assistance is higher than ever, with more people needing help than food available.
This is not the first time Swift has made large charitable donations. She previously gave $100,000 to the family of a radio host killed at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade in 2024 and donated $1 million to Tennessee tornado relief in 2023. She has also given generous bonuses to crew members from her Eras Tour.
