Kate Middleton and Prince William have shared their annual family Christmas card, continuing a holiday tradition many people look forward to each year. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, appear in the photo with their three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
The photo was taken in April 2025 by photographer Josh Shinner and was released on December 18 through the couple’s official social media accounts. In the image, the family is sitting together in a field filled with bright yellow daffodils. They look relaxed and close, dressed in casual, coordinated outfits. Prince William and Prince Louis are wearing dark green sweaters with jeans, while Princess Charlotte is also in green and rests her head gently on her father’s shoulder.
The picture comes from the same photo session used earlier this year for Father’s Day and for birthday portraits of Prince Louis and Prince George. Princess Kate was not shown in those earlier photos, making this family image especially meaningful. Last year, instead of a traditional photo, the family shared a still from a video announcing that Kate had finished chemotherapy after cancer treatment. She later confirmed she was in remission.
The family was last seen together at Kate’s “Together at Christmas” carol service earlier this month. They are also expected to join the rest of the royal family for the traditional Christmas Day church walk at Sandringham, followed by lunch and King Charles’ Christmas speech.
