Reports state Diddy was recently attacked in jail. An inmate allegedly woke him while he was sleeping and put a knife to his throat. Diddy has already spent more than a year in prison.
He was sentenced to 50 months for transporting someone to engage in prostitution. Federal Bureau of Prisons records now show an expected release date of May 8, 2028, if nothing changes. He can still appeal or use other legal options that might shorten his time, but that’s uncertain right now. In some cases prisoners only have to serve 85% of their sentence, and that rule is the main thing that could change the May 8, 2028 date.
This release date would be about three years and seven months after his arrest in September last year. There have also been rumors about a possible presidential pardon, but the White House said those rumors are false. A White House spokesperson said there is “zero truth” to them and that the President, not unnamed sources, decides on pardons.
People are worried he could face more attacks if he stays in prison. One person who says he’s a friend, Charlucci Finney, told the Daily Mail that the incident was frightening and could have been deadly. He said it felt like intimidation, but that Diddy is tough and from Harlem.
