Taylor Swift revealed a hilarious story on Late Night with Seth Meyers about how Zoë Kravitz accidentally led to tons of chaos in her Beverly Hills home while staying there during the California wildfires on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” Wednesday night.
“I just remember getting a call from my head of security trying to explain this story to me, and my first question was, ‘What snake?’” Swift said. “I was unaware of the presence of the snake.”
Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, were staying with Swift after their home was damaged by the fires. Bonet’s pet Burmese python, named Orpheus, escaped and slithered into a hole in the wall, getting stuck in the bathroom.
They were holding onto the slippery snake that managed to get half its body in a wall as an axe-wielding man chopped part of a vintage antique cupboard in her home.
“This is the chicest thing I ever heard in my life. This is a YSL ad and not a problem. It just sounds incredible, I’m sad I didn’t see it.” She added that she could imagine Kravitz and Bonet’s “elite cheekbones” as they tried to catch the snake.
Kravitz later called Swift three weeks after the repairs were done to admit what had actually happened. “Hey, I’m just gonna tell you something that happened, now that it’s fixed,” Swift recalled her saying. Swift replied, “You had a snake in the house and it got loose and it was in the wall and they had to get an axe.”
Kravitz was upset that the story came out before she could tell Swift herself, but Swift said she could not be mad about it. “I can’t even be mad,” she said. “Dude, I’ve been laughing about this for three weeks.”
