Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently shared their favorite Disney memories, reflecting on both their childhood visits and new experiences with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared on The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland , A Special Edition of 20/20, which aired Sunday, Sept. 21. Harry, 41, recalled visiting Disney World in 1993 with his late mother, Princess Diana, and older brother, Prince William, saying he vividly remembers “losing it as a kid with all the characters.”
As a California native, Meghan described Disneyland as “more accessible” growing up but still “the biggest treat in the world,” fondly remembering her grad night visit when high school seniors enjoy the park after hours. Harry joked, “That sounds like a lot of fun. Can you do that in your forties?”
The couple shared that they took Lilibet to Disneyland for her fourth birthday in June 2025. Archie and Lilibet’s excitement began even before entering the park. “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ and I’m like, ‘Guys, this isn’t even the front of it. Prepare yourself,’” Harry said. He added that watching their children dive into the experience “brings out the kid in you again.”
The birthday celebrations included rides, treats, and a Little Mermaid–themed cake. A photo shown on the special captured Meghan and Harry laughing as they rode Space Mountain, Harry’s favorite ride since childhood, which he recalled riding “10, maybe 12 times” back in 1993.
