Tom Holland has addressed the growing rumors that he might be in the running to play the next James Bond but for now, he’s keeping things vague. In a recent video appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel, the Spider-Man star responded to the speculation with a coy comment, saying, “There’s speculation at the minute. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day.”
While he didn’t confirm or deny any involvement, Holland acknowledged that the role of James Bond is a dream for many actors, especially in the UK. He called it “the pinnacle” of acting in the British film industry and said he already feels like the luckiest person in the world because of the career he’s had so far.
The hype comes as Holland prepares to return to the Marvel franchise with the teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. At the same time, the Bond universe is undergoing a major reset. Amazon MGM Studios has tapped Dune director Denis Villeneuve to helm the next 007 film, with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight writing the screenplay. Longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson remain attached, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman also on board as producers.
Studio heads Courtenay Valenti and Sue Kroll confirmed during April’s CinemaCon that development is underway in London, promising a new era for the legendary franchise. Although a new Bond actor has yet to be officially announced, Holland’s name continues to float among fan wishlists—though for now, any serious talks appear to be under wraps.
