Cheaters might want to steer clear of Coldplay shows, but if they’re seeking a judgment-free musical refuge, Liam Gallagher says they’re welcome at the Oasis reunion tour via Yahoo.
On Saturday, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned after he was seen intimately embracing the company’s chief human resources officer Kristin Cabot at the Coldplay gig. In a clip filmed during the incident, Byron and Cabot’s immediate reaction was to duck and turn away from the camera and leave the frame, which led to the speculation and suspicions over their non-professional-appearing relationship. Liam Gallagher has now opened up on the incident.
Speaking in between songs during Oasis’ concert in Manchester over the weekend, Gallager remarked: “Do we have any lovebirds in the house? Don’t worry, we don’t got any of that Coldplay snidey f**king camera sh*t. Doesn’t matter to us who you’re fucking mingling with, or tingling with, or fingering with. It’s none of our f**king business.” Gallagher then proceeded to dedicate the band’s performance of “Slide Away” to the “lovebirds.”
Chris Martin also recently jokingly warned fans about Coldplay’s “The Jumbotron Song” during the band’s first concert since capturing a now-infamous moment at a Boston-area show earlier this week.
“The Jumbotron Song” had been a stalwart of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres Tour, but the performance went viral this week when it zeroed in on two shellshocked people that were later revealed to be co-workers having an affair; the CEO involved in the incident has since resigned from his position due to the endlessly meme’d viral moment.
“We’d like to say hello to some of you in the crowd,” Martin told the Camp Randall Stadium crowd.
“How we’re gonna do that is we’re gonna use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen.” He then quipped, “So please, if you haven’t done your makeup, do your makeup now.”
At Coldplay’s Madison, Wisconsin concert Saturday, the band’s frst show since the Gillette Stadium concert that lit the internet aflame, Martin prefaced “The Jumbotron Song” with a disclaimer.
