Britney Spears has reportedly reconnected with her youngest son, Jayden Federline, but not without some tension behind the scenes. According to sources who spoke with Globe, while the two are spending more time together, the 18-year-old is said to be uncomfortable with his mom’s frequent and often revealing social media posts.
The 43-year-old pop star has been sharing racy videos and photos on Instagram, something that insiders claim Jayden finds incredibly embarrassing. While he’s been staying at her $8 million L.A. mansion and is even driving around in a $200,000 sports car she provided, he’s allegedly asked Britney to tone it down online.
Jayden loves her and does his best to accept her, but he knows she’s never going to be a typical mom, according to one insider. He reportedly finds many of her posts difficult to deal with, especially the ones where she dances or speaks in riddles. His friends have even teased him about it.
Apparently, Jayden has spoken to Britney directly and asked her to ease up on what she shares. However, she doesn’t always take it well and sometimes feels rejected by his criticism.
Jayden and his older brother Sean, who is now 19, were mainly raised by their father Kevin Federline during the years Britney was under a conservatorship that lasted from 2008 to 2021. During that time, Britney paid up to $40,000 a month in child support.
Now that Jayden is reconnecting with her, sources say he’s trying to be patient. But if Britney doesn’t start hearing him out, there’s concern he may choose to distance himself again. That would be heartbreaking for both of them.
