Bad news for Miley Cyrus fans hoping to see her live the Grammy-winning singer has confirmed she won’t be going on tour anytime soon. In a new interview with Good Morning America on July 15, Miley explained why she has no plans to tour her latest album, Something Beautiful. At 32, she says her decision has nothing to do with ability or opportunity, but everything to do with how she feels.
“I could tour if I wanted to, but I just don’t have the desire,” she shared.
Miley also talked about how difficult it is for artists to stay mentally and physically healthy while on the road. She pointed out that the touring lifestyle has taken a toll on many artists in the past, including Prince.
“It’s hard to stay sober on tour, and that’s something really important to me right now,” she said. “Your brain gets used to thousands of people cheering for you every night. After a while, one person’s love doesn’t feel like enough — you start chasing that high.”
Miley hasn’t gone on a major tour since the Bangerz Tour in 2014. But even though she’s not touring, she still has big career moments ahead. She was recently named part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2026.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she reflected on what the honor means to her. Growing up, she used to walk Hollywood Boulevard with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, when no one recognized him. Now, she’s getting a star of her own.
“This moment feels like a dream,” she wrote. “I’m so grateful to share this star with everyone who made it possible.”
Miley released Something Beautiful, her ninth studio album, on May 30. The album was paired with a visual film that premiered on June 6 at the Tribeca Festival. During a May appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she explained that the film has no plot because the songs tell the story themselves.
