Lewan and Compton host the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast. Some fans were upset because in the past, the two podcasters posted a video of themselves shaking hands with Donald Trump, which some took as a sign they supported him. They captioned that video with “Firm handshakes for The Boys and 47” and added an American flag emoji, hinting at Trump running to be the 47th president. A post on Reddit with thousands of comments pointed this out, saying, “Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift flexing with Barstool MAGA podcaster influencer bros Taylor Lewan and Will Compton.”
Many fans were shocked. One person on X (formerly Twitter) wrote that seeing Taylor hang out with MAGA people told them all they needed to know, wondering what happened to the person who once wanted to be “on the right side of history.” Another said they hoped Taylor and Travis would break up soon because it has just led to Taylor being around MAGA people. Someone else said Taylor was on their last nerve and needed to end this “MAGA wag era.” Another commented that Taylor Swift keeps spending time in places tied to MAGA politics and isn’t even releasing new music to distract from it.
It’s worth noting that Lewan and Compton’s full political views aren’t really known. They have talked with many different people on their podcast, including politicians from all sides.
