David Beckham, who recently turned 50, celebrated Father’s Day by sharing heartfelt messages for his children, especially his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, despite rumors of a strained relationship.
On Instagram, David posted a tribute to all four of his children: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. He also shared an old photo of himself and Brooklyn in his Instagram Story, writing “Love you @brooklynbeckham” with a white heart emoji.
This message followed weeks of speculation about a rift in the family. Brooklyn has remained silent on social media and did not post anything for Father’s Day. He was also missing from David’s 50th birthday celebration in May, which was attended by Victoria Beckham and their three younger children. Brooklyn was also not part of public congratulations when David received his knighthood.
In another Instagram post, David shared how much being a father means to him. He said it’s his favorite and most important role, and he’s proud of all his children. He also thanked Victoria for helping raise them, calling fatherhood the greatest gift in his life. The post included several photos of David with his kids, some of which were from past years.
Victoria Beckham also celebrated the day by posting a video of David singing with Brooklyn, Cruz, and Harper. She wrote that he is the best dad and that their children reflect his love. She tagged all four of their children, including Brooklyn, and later shared a set of old family photos. Brooklyn was not in many of the recent ones.
