Miley Cyrus has shared her concerns about Sabrina Carpenter’s packed 2025 tour, warning that the young pop star might be heading toward burnout. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Cyrus said she sees signs in Carpenter that remind her of her own past struggles with exhaustion.
Cyrus pointed out how fast Carpenter is moving—performing in different countries within days—and questioned how anyone could keep up that pace. She said she’s been through the same thing and doesn’t want to see another young artist go through burnout like she did.
Carpenter just finished the European part of her Short N’ Sweet Tour, which included a big show at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. She’ll be back on stage in July at BST Hyde Park in London, joined by artists like Clairo, Beabadoobee, and Olivia Dean. After a short break, she’ll resume touring in the U.S. from October until late November, wrapping up in Los Angeles on November 23.
While showng concern, Cyrus also praised the new wave of female pop stars. She said today’s artists are confident and original and that seeing them grow into themselves is inspiring—something she hadn’t done at their age.
Sabrina Carpenter is also gearing up to release her new album Man’s Best Friend on August 29. The album’s first single, Manchild, and the bold cover art have sparked some controversy. Critics have accused it of promoting negative stereotypes, but Carpenter dismissed the backlash, saying that no one has heard the full album yet and that she’s just excited for it to come out.
