Reports suggest that Hailey Bieber’s friends have expressed concerns about what the billion-dollar sale of her Rhode Skincare brand means for her relationship with pop star Justin Bieber.
There are concerns among the former businesswoman’s loved ones that the singer may attempt to “take advantage of her kindness” and use her to resolve his financial issues. Despite ongoing rumors about a potential divorce, a source has stated that Justin and Hailey Bieber’s marriage remains strong. In the past, Hailey has frequently faced accusations of being a “fan girl” and “stalking” her way into Justin’s life.
However, now that she has become a full-blown mogul and made a name for herself in the skincare world, their relationship dynamic is set to undergo a major change, with Hailey now becoming the so-called “breadwinner.”
Meanwhile, the “Sorry” hit maker has reportedly been enduring money problems and is allegedly “broke” from splurging on a luxury lifestyle. It was also recently revealed that he owes his former manager, Scooter Braun, $8 million.
Sources noted that the couple have raised concerns about how the 31-year-old pop star may attempt to “take advantage” of his wife’s kindness and how she’ll use the proceeds from her company’s sale to cover his alleged debt.
“Friends of Hailey are concerned that she has been so ride or die with Justin that she might get enveloped into bailing him out of financial struggles,” the insider told the Daily Mail.
“She is happy to help Justin in any way she can, but friends want her to look out for herself and Jack. They don’t want to see Justin take advantage of her kindness.”
Hailey has been working and growing her brand, while Justin has suffered a huge decline in his career and has not released an album since “Justice” in 2021.
He was forced to cancel his “Justice” World Tour in 2022 after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and reportedly lost out on making $90 million.
With his wife’s new fortune, a source told the Daily Mail that Justin “is more inclined to not tour and instead do what he has been doing over the years.”
“Hailey would love to see more of his creativity and see him tour and continue to bring out music, [which was] one reason she fell in love with him,” the insider added.
“But now he has more time to rest on his laurels, and Hailey’s friends are scared that eventually she won’t be able to take it anymore and [it will] end up being the catalyst of a future breakup.”
