As King Charles’ health continues to worsen, fans of the royal family recently got news about an inheritance involving Prince Harry and Prince William.
Their late uncle, Lord Fellowes, passed away in July 2024. He was the brother-in-law of their late mother, Princess Diana. His will has now been made public and shows how his $2 million estate will be divided. Most of it will go to his wife, Baroness Fellowes (formerly known as Lady Jane Spencer, Diana’s sister). However, he also asked that some of the money from the estate’s income be used to support Harry, William, and other family members.
Lord Fellowes also gave money to several charities he cared about, including Tapping House Hospice, the Rhodes Trust, St. Mary’s Church, and Eton College where he, Harry, and William all went to school.
Despite their ongoing conflict, both Harry and William attended their uncle’s memorial in August 2024. Harry flew in from California, where he lives with Meghan Markle and their kids, Archie and Lilibet. But the brothers didn’t speak to each other and kept their distance during the service.
Harry later mentioned this trip while fighting in court to get his U.K. police protection back. He said he rarely visits the U.K. anymore except for funerals or legal matters, and that safety concerns keep him from bringing his family. He expressed sadness that his children may never get to see his homeland.
This inheritance news comes at the same time as new reports about King Charles’ health. Sources say his cancer is getting worse, and although Charles and Harry aren’t talking directly, Harry is still getting updates through others. One source said that Charles refused chemotherapy and chose a less intense treatment. They criticized Harry for publicly mentioning his father’s health, saying such matters should be kept private.
