Controversial star Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken into custody and Homeland Security uncovered baby oil, pink ketamine, and $9,000 from his hotel room via PEOPLE.
Amid his ongoing s*x trafficking trial, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) presented photos from Combs’ suite at the Park Hyatt New York on Monday, September 16th.
Combs was recently taken into custody at the hotel on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution, which he has adamantly denied.
During the trial on Friday, May 16th, Homeland Security revealed photos showing what they allegedly found in the room, following Combs’ arrest.
Special Agent Yasin Binda, who photographed the evidence, testified that in one of the hallway bags in his hotel room’s closet, there was a Ziploc bag filled with Johnson’s baby oil and another filled with the lubricant Astroglide.
In addition to a hard drive, Binda testified that a “lighting device” was used to create “mood lighting” in the living room and “several bottles of baby oil” in the bathroom.
Homeland Security also found an iPhone, a Louis Vuitton bag with a bottle of medication prescribed to a “Frank Black,” and two bottles of lubricant on a nightstand in the bedroom. Several additional photos of oil and lubricant were later presented.
The bottle of medication, which was from Walgreens, had a label for Clonazepam, which is used “alone or together with other medicines to treat certain seizure disorders,” per the Mayo Clinic. It can also be used to treat panic disorder.
Inside the bottle of medication, however, were two bags of “pink powder,” per Binda’s testimony.
The pink material tested positive for ketamine in one bag, while the pink material in the other bag tested positive for MDMA and ketamine. Both were passed around for the jury to examine.
As per the the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, ketamine is a “dissociative anesthetic that has some hallucinogenic effects.” It “distorts the perception of sight and sound and makes the user feel disconnected and not in control.”
MDMA “acts as both a stimulant and hallucinogen, producing an energizing effect, distortions in time and perception, and enhanced enjoyment of tactile experiences,” per the DEA.
Binda also testified that Homeland Security found a black fanny pack hanging off a bed with $9,000 inside.
