The Hollywood Reporter recently released an article, “Justin Bieber’s Crisis of Faith?” and in it, the outlet claimed that the singer is $20 million in debt from his canceled tour via Cosmopolitan.
As per the outlet, canceling his remaining dates on the Justice World Tour in 2023 “triggered a series of financial consequences that are still plaguing the artist today.”
Meanwhile, an anonymous source who is allegedly an “ex team member” told the outlet that “Seeing him disintegrate like this…it’s watching the embodiment of someone not living their purpose. He’s lost. There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one there willing to say no to him. You say no, you get blown out.”
Justin’s response was, first, his team snubbed the debt claims directly to The Hollywood Reporter, saying “Any source that is trying to sell you a story about alleged financial distress … either doesn’t understand the entertainment industry or, more likely, is trying to paint an unflattering portrait of Justin, which bears no resemblance to reality.”
However, they also gave a statement to Us Weekly, hitting back at “sources,” saying “This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin. As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
